Problem to create a deb from Songbird_1.1.1-1018_linux-i686.tar.gz.

Hello,
I try to create a deb-Packet from Songbird_1.1.1-1018_linux-i686.tar.gz.

but i get the error message:

Unable to detect the top source folder in the archive. This should be
something like <name>-<version>.

What is wrong?
