Statistics on analysis usage
Dear all,
I have been generating some more detailed statistics on the usage of the
various dhis analysis tools. The last columns shows how many times the
report type was accessed per day, average over last 40 days:
Usage stats: Access last 40 days | Average per day
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Standard report: 3581 | 89
Data set report: 56102 | 1402
Reporting rate summary: 15920 | 398
Resources: 1804 | 45
Org unit distribution: 693 | 17
Report table: 6569 | 164
Web pivot table: 5153 | 128
Charts: 3437 | 85
Maps: 792 | 19
We also have some stats on how many charts, maps etc are saved as favorites
by the users here:
https://hiskenya.org/api/reports/xds04j9hBol/data<https://hiskenya.org/api/reports/xds04j9hBol/data.?>
>From these stats we can see that data set report is used quite intensively,
while data visualizer (charts) and GIS (maps) are not used as much as we
want. Data set report is good but basically shows the data entry forms
populated with aggregated data; it does not convey the insights which can
be derived from more analytical tools like data visualizer and GIS.
In terms of data entry things are going reasonably well, we had around 1
mill data records with 1493 users logging in over the last 30 days.
I am writing this because I want to emphasize the need for doing data use
training workshops - informing the users how they can access the various
analysis tools and how they can do meaningful analysis of the data they
collect. Focusing on these kinds of training sessions are important and
should be proportional to all the effort we put into making new software
functionality.
best regards,
Lars
