Re: Sleuths Notebook
Hi,
Before responding, I want to outline some fixes I've made to the Notebook
since yesterday:
- Editing notes now properly handles their list numbers. When you edit a
note, it only shows you the note portion, not the list number, and by
editing a note, it preserves the list number. Both of these were bugs
present yesterday.
- Deleting notes now results in the re-ordering of the list numbers for
all notes that followed the deleted note. This keeps the list consistent.
- I added a signal/slot pair to disable the Notebook button while the
Notebook is open. This prevents multiple instances of the Notebook from
being spawned at once.
- I did a few general refactorings to keep things nice and tidy as well.
I encourage you to try these new features out and let me know if you catch
any snags. Thanks in advance.
Now, on to Ian's reply:

I agree. I'll throw a larger default size in there.

I made some changes last night that disallow you from running multiple
instances of it by disabling the Notebook button while the Notebook is open.
That is of course on the premise that we want the button to be single
function. It may require a bit of play testing to see if the kids are
confused by the lack of a close button. It's simple enough to add (< 2
minutes of work), so for now, we'll leave it off in the interest of screen
real estate.
