Message #09518
[Bug 2129493] [NEW] PackageKit assertion failure with Phased-Update-Percentage field
Public bug reported:
PackageKit 1.2.8 fails with assertion error when processing packages
with Phased-Update-Percentage metadata field from Ubuntu Pro ESM repositories.
Error: pk_package_set_update_severity: assertion failed - expects one of:
PK_INFO_ENUM_UNKNOWN, PK_INFO_ENUM_LOW, PK_INFO_ENUM_NORMAL,
PK_INFO_ENUM_IMPORTANT, PK_INFO_ENUM_CRITICAL
Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable Ubuntu Pro ESM Apps and ESM Infra
2. Run: pkcon get-updates
3. Assertion error occurs when parsing Phased-Update-Percentage field
The issue occurs because PackageKit treats Phased-Update-Percentage
as a severity enum value, but it's a numeric percentage field.
