Title:
  Terminal crashes when detaching tab created when in "sudo -i" state

Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Repro steps that cause crash 100% of the time

  1) Open new terminal window
  2) sudo -i
  3) cd into a directory that only root has access to. a
  4) Hit The + to create a new tab
  5) Right click on the new tab and choose "detach"

  Immediate crash
