[Bug 1926165] Re: Bass speakers not enabled on Lenovo Yoga 9i
For anyone else following, I finally got this working on mine. Two
things were needed:
1. Create this file (to load the spi_intel_pci driver):
$ cat /etc/modules-load.d/spi-intel-pci.conf
spi_intel_pci
And add this line to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf:
$ tail -n1 /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd-sof-intel-hda-generic hda_model=alc287-yoga9-bass-spk-pin
Then restart and that bass kicks in!
This is on my Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14IAH10 running Ubuntu 25.04 (Linux
6.14.0-33-generic).

Title:
Bass speakers not enabled on Lenovo Yoga 9i
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
The Lenovo Yoga 9i has two sets of speakers: regular ones and bass
speakers. The former work but while latter are detected and show up in
alsamixer, they play no sound. Plugging headphones in and out or
toggling any of the volume options does not fix the issue.
A possibly related issue for a different Yoga version:
