Fresh install of Ubuntu Desktop 24.04.2 on Dell Precision 7810 works
fine. Apply patches to 24.04.3 causes reboot to hang at a blank screen
then power down. Fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04.3 also fails after the
install is done and is rebooted from disk.

Workaround is to boot in recovery mode then resume. Problem also occurs
in a text console boot (sudo systemctl set-default multi-user.target)

Thanks in advance for any help. This machine has served me well through
many LTS releases.
