[Bug 2122727] Re: Headset mic is not automatically used when plugged
Only other hint I can see,
analog-input-internal-mic: Microphone interne (type: Mic, priority: 8900, availability group: Legacy 1, availability unknown)
analog-input-headset-mic: Microphone casque (type: Headset, priority: 8800, availability group: Legacy 2, availability unknown)
Your internal mic has a higher priority than the headeset mic, that
might explain why the headset mic is not automatically switched do.
If you set the headset mic as the default in pavucontrol, I'd expect the
wireplumber state file to save that choice and you not have to do it
again. Please post screenshots of pavucontrol's "Input Devices" tab and
the contents of
~/.local/state/wireplumber/default-nodes

Title:
Headset mic is not automatically used when plugged
Status in wireplumber package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When I plug my jack headset, it automatically switches to the jack output but keeps using the internal microphone for input.
If I use pavucontrol, I can switch the audio input to the headset microphone but I have to redo this every time I plug it.
I tried the same headset on another computer (running Linux Mint) and
there it automatically switches to the headset microphone.
