Bug description:
  During a debootstrap --variant=fakeroot installation, console-setup-
  linux fails to complete:

  Setting up console-setup-linux (1.226ubuntu1) ...
  update-alternatives: using /etc/console-setup/vtrgb to provide /etc/vtrgb (vtrgb) in auto mode
  *** buffer overflow detected ***: terminated
  Aborted (core dumped)
  dpkg: error processing package console-setup-linux (--configure):
   installed console-setup-linux package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 134

  This is probably a fakeroot bug and will reassign once the cause is
  known.
