[Bug 306047] Re: Black screen after resolution change with compiz
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue
for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Bug description:
Hi,
I'm running Intrepid Ibex on the eeepc 1000H.
When I change the resolution to 800x600 everything is ok.
But when I switch back to the initial resolution (1024x600), I have a black screen with only a mouse cursor that is still working.
When I turn off compiz, it works fine.
Workaround :
When I turn off the autodetect_ouputs in CompizConfig->General options->Display settings and if I add 1024x600+0+0 in the outputs it fixes the problem.
Just to let you know...
Best,
Jacques
