Lab update from November 14th

Ok folks,

Here is the latest update from the lab consolidation:

 - All of the jenkins servers are up. Not all of the slave nodes are up
though. We still need to get a few small pieces, adapters or cable
extenders for the most part, to make the former desktop systems work in
the rack mount cases they are now housed in. That should be done within
the next day or so. We also have a few nodes in a rack where we are
unable to access the PDUs. We need to find the appropriate console cable
to connect to and configure the APC PDUs; hopefully pinky will be able
to find one for us. For the nodes that are powered on I need to reach
into them to set their JENKINS_URL to the appropriate ?-jenkins alias
and they should connect to the defined jenkins master.

 - Rick picked up the phones and has a good many of them connected at
1SS. I need to get more information from him in the morning to find out
their exact status.

 - The cobbler server is up and running as is the tftp server but I have
not verified the PXE booting is functioning. I also need to consolidate
all of the profiles and systems from the two previous cobbler servers
into the single present cobbler server. I should have that done
tomorrow. The cobbler server should be able to be reached via
http://cobbler.ubuntu-ci/cobbler_web

 - The MaaS stack is up and running but not reachable over the network;
we need to add an entry to the switch to get the network up for those.
That should be done tomorrow morning.

 - The Calxeda nodes do not appear to be on the network either. I have
asked Rick to take a look at that in the morning as well.

 - Once the all of the jenkins masters/nodes are operational I need to
get all of the system backup scripts tweaked and make sure we are
keeping backups up to date. When that is done then I will work on
consolidating all of the nagios and munin monitoring and set up the
redirects for easy access to that.
