Re: uci-test as a project to host low-level test infrastructure
Hi Vincent,
I think if you already have code that can be ripped out of SST and
made into a library without much effort, go for it. We'll need a place
to put some common testing patterns for the software we develop
internally, so please make sure the team owns this. Let's not spend
time generalising this into the perfect test library. It should be
super-focused for our needs in the CI infrastructure so we can focus
the vast majority of our time in building the Airline.
Given that no one else replied, I'll take that to mean there are no
objections. JFDI :)
Thanks for driving this! Test-driven development is going to be key to
our success in this new project. On one hand we need to build
something that is proven more reliable than what preceded it, right
out of the gate. On the other hand, we'll likely need to refactor it
significantly as we get feedback from the pilot program and as Ubuntu
Engineering's needs change over time.
