Re: 1SS Move/Expansion December 2014

Greetings, and attention to all users of ServerStack:

Coinciding with the upcoming 1SS data center move, we plan to tear down and
rebuild ServerStack. We will not be backing up instances or other storage
data. If you have valuables on ServerStack, you should back them up
elsewhere before the rebuild (ideally before the 1SS move). Below, I've
copied James' announcement from server team list for reference. Bear in
mind that the precise timing of this rebuild is not yet known. I would
recommend keeping an eye on the #server channel and its topic as we get
closer. Thank you for your attention to this.

Best regards,

Ryan Beisner

Dell QA Lab

*Hi Team*

*IS are moving all of our servers to a new location in 1SS on or around*
*Friday 5th of December; this will entail an outage of at least 12*
*hours whilst the moves are completed.*

*I'd like to take the opportunity to re-provision serverstack to be*
*full smoosh HA - so probably the following Monday, we'd tear down and*
*re-provision the entire cloud. We can also address the current IP*
*network segment limitations by moving to a /20 over our current /24*
*allocations.*

*This means that all data in ServerStack will be dropped; so you'll*
*need to backup anything you want to save prior to that re-build.*

*I'll send a reminder on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to the move*
*as well!*

*Cheers*

*James*
