Hi, Michael,

Welcome to the team.

Yes, we can consider creating new branches.
the trunk now is 3.6.0 of ADempiere.

But the major challenges are:

1. What? What branches to be created. new branches would sperate the energy of contributors. 

2. When? especially idempiere has not yet released its beta version.

What is your opinion?
